Plenish makes its protein powder debut with two clean label plant-based formulas

The plant-based drinks brand is raising the bar with a blend that focuses on simple and clean ingredients

  • Plenish’s Clean Protein comes in two flavours: Madagascan Vanilla and Cocoa & Sea Salt, both made using only seven natural ingredients while providing 20g of protein and a source of fibre
  • The launch responds to the continued consumer focus on protein alongside an increasing demand for protein powders with simplified ingredients and no artificial ingredients or additives

Plenish, the UK’s fastest-growing dairy alternatives brand1, has entered a bold new chapter with the launch of its first-ever plant-based protein powders. Introducing Plenish Madagascan Vanilla Clean Protein Powder and Plenish Cocoa & Sea Salt Clean Protein Powder - a delicious clean-label range made with just seven naturally sourced ingredients, including pea protein, and no additives or sweeteners. The protein powders will be available direct-to-consumer at plenishdrinks.com from 17 April and on Amazon from 27 April, RRP £45 for 30 servings.

Made with only seven naturally sourced vegan ingredients, each serving delivers 20g of high quality protein, with no artificial flavours, preservatives, sweeteners or additives. Plenish Clean Protein has a complete amino acid profile, and the pea-based formula is also a source of fibre, all without compromising on taste or texture.

The launch marks Plenish’s debut in the protein powder category, bringing the brand’s uncompromising ingredient philosophy to a new space. It comes at a time of growth for the plant‑based protein market which is projected to reach roughly $35 billion by 20302, as consumers increasingly seek convenient ways to meet their daily protein and fibre goals, with two-thirds of Brits likely to pick foods that are also a source of fibre3. Yet, the market remains dominated by products that compromise on taste, texture or ingredients. As one of the few clean-label, plant-based protein powders on the market, the new Madagascan Vanilla and Cocoa & Sea Salt Clean Protein Powders directly address this gap, by delivering great taste, multiple nutritional benefits, and an ingredients list consumers can trust.

Russell Goldman, Managing Director of Breakthrough Brands at Carlsberg Britvic, says, “We know today’s consumers expect more from their wellness products and want multiple health objectives in a single product. Consumers using protein powders want to hit their protein goals while keeping things simple, and enjoying added benefits like fibre, without having to compromise on taste. Our new protein powders deliver exactly that, staying true to our mission of ingredient transparency and great tasting products. This launch is an exciting milestone for Plenish, and we can’t wait to see how it elevates everyday wellness routines for our consumers.”
